Director of Civil Engineering – Land Development
About the company:
This multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a Director of Civil Engineering to lead and grow its land development team in Northeast or Central Florida. The role includes team management, project delivery, and client development across both private and public sector work.
What you'll be doing:
• Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, project managers, and technicians
• Overseeing land development and public infrastructure projects from start to finish
• Building and maintaining client relationships
• Supporting proposals and presentations for new work
• Working with internal teams in transportation, water, CEI, and planning
• Managing project schedules, budgets, and quality
• Tracking group performance and business metrics
• Travelling as needed for meetings, site visits, and internal collaboration
What we're looking for:
• At least fifteen years of civil engineering experience
• Background in land development or public infrastructure
• Experience leading staff and managing projects
• Ability to win new work and grow client relationships
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• PE licence required and must be able to obtain a Florida PE if not already held
• Knowledge of the Florida market preferred
